Description
Toftum is a lovely place to spend your holiday if you dream of relaxing, enjoying time with family, and being out in nature. Here in the northern part of the Wadden Sea island of Rømø, you will find this lovely cottage, which has a nice atmosphere indoors as well as good outdoor areas with a terrace and play equipment for the children. It’s a great place to be!
Welcome inside
When the weather is nice, it’s always tempting to spend as much time as possible outside—but when you’re on holiday in a house with a wood stove in the living room, three good bedrooms, and a sauna in the bathroom, it’s also inviting to stay indoors. The wood stove is cleverly placed, so you can enjoy its warmth and cozy atmosphere whether you’re sitting at the dining table or in the sofa area. And if it’s your turn to cook, you can pop over to the open kitchen to whip up something delicious while listening to music on the radio or chatting with the family over the half wall.
Enjoy life outside
Around the house, there are several terraces to choose from, so whether you want to drink your morning coffee in the sun, have lunch in the shade under the canopy, or wrap up the day with a barbecue and good conversations in the golden light, it’s all very doable. The plot is 1518 m², nicely large and well shielded by trees and other vegetation. There’s a play set and a sandbox for the youngest holiday guests, and the lawn invites play and ball games for both children and dogs—if you have one or two dogs you’d like to bring along, they are very welcome here in the house.
Get up close to the local attractions
Koubjerg is a small and quiet road that winds in a circle at the western end of Toftum. The natural surroundings are lovely in this flat landscape, and there are several delightful places to explore—including the viewpoint Høstbjerg, Bolilmark’s heather-covered expanses, and Lakolk Beach by the North Sea. If you venture further north on the island, you can walk along Juvre Dike, which protects the marsh area of Juvre Enge, and if you want to dream back into history, you can visit the National Museum's Kommandørgård and the Old School in Toftum. Rømø is manageable in size, making it easy to explore the rest of the Wadden Sea island during your holiday, and whether you’re traveling by car or bike, you have a lovely drive to Havneby all the way to the south.
