Description
You will get all the rustic charm when you spend your holiday in this beautifully updated Rømø house, which is beautifully located in the open landscape on the northern part of the island.
Welcome inside
The farmhouse has stood in the northern end of Rømø for more than two centuries. The architecture is quite classic with thatched roofing, sash windows, and a beautifully decorated front door, while the ceiling height indoors is approximately 1.80 meters. At the same time, the excellent condition of the house clearly indicates that it has been renovated and updated with great care. Light color tones and tasteful furnishings characterize all the rooms, which include three bedrooms, a utility room with laundry facilities, and a well-appointed bathroom with underfloor heating. The kitchen is cozy with a dining area, and when you’re not spending time here, you can move into the adjacent living room, where you can play PlayStation, watch movies, or simply enjoy the warmth of the wood stove and a quiet moment on the sofa.
Enjoy life outside
When the sun is shining, it’s delightful to take life outside on the south-facing terrace. Here, you have a grill, garden furniture, and sun loungers available, while the garden offers a trampoline for the youngest holiday guests during the summer months.
Get up close to the local attractions
Rømø is a wonderful island to experience on horseback: There are good riding trails in the plantations, and you also have the opportunity to gallop along the wide sandy beaches by the North Sea. And if you don’t have a horse yourself, there are several riding centers on the island that organize trips into the nature for both children and adults. You can now also enjoy the island’s many delights on foot, by bike, or by car, if you prefer— or in a completely relaxing way if you want to lounge on Lakolk Strand, dine at one of the island’s restaurants, or go bird-watching at the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
