Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
If you don’t just want to sit and look but also wish to be active in nature, fortu­na­te­ly, there’s plenty to do on Rømø. Close to Julianehåb is Kirkeby Plan­ta­tion, which can be explored on foot or by bike—and you might consider bringing a basket if it’s the season for picking bog­ber­ri­es or chan­te­rel­les. A trip to Bolilmark’s heathland is also recom­men­ded, and if you love oysters, you can go on a guided oyster safari. It’s a fantastic way to get to know the Wadden Sea better! From Kongsmark, you can also easily reach the lovely Lakolk beach, which entices with shallow, clear water and fine white sand.
