With such a location, you can feel closely connected to nature even on days when you just want to cozy up indoors. If the weather is cool, you can light the wood-burning stove and settle into the sofa with a good book or turn on the TV to watch movies or series—just remember to look up and outside every now and then! The large windows in the living area provide lovely natural light, and in the largest of the two bedrooms, you can lie in a ray of sunshine while enjoying the view of the green natural plot when you draw back the curtains from the bay window.
Enjoy life outside
The summer house’s large natural plot is a wonderful and secluded oasis, and it’s tempting to move outdoor living into the open air as soon as the sun shows itself in the sky. Furthermore, everything is peaceful and quiet on the small, closed gravel road, making the surroundings perfect if you need to unwind completely and recharge your energy. If you want to relax in the sun, the south-facing terrace is the obvious choice, while the wooden terrace on the other side of the house boasts the most stunning view: From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the unspoiled nature up close.
Get up close to the local attractions
If you don’t just want to sit and look but also wish to be active in nature, fortunately, there’s plenty to do on Rømø. Close to Julianehåb is Kirkeby Plantation, which can be explored on foot or by bike—and you might consider bringing a basket if it’s the season for picking bogberries or chanterelles. A trip to Bolilmark’s heathland is also recommended, and if you love oysters, you can go on a guided oyster safari. It’s a fantastic way to get to know the Wadden Sea better! From Kongsmark, you can also easily reach the lovely Lakolk beach, which entices with shallow, clear water and fine white sand.
