Description
In the front row to the water you find this rare holiday house on two levels. The house is an authentic Scandinavian holiday house that invites to relaxation and “hygge” with a rustic but light and warm furnishing. The house is located on a huge nature plot directly to Skansehage Bay by Rørvig, one of most attractive holiday areas.
Welcome inside
With exposed beams on the first floor and wooden floor and walls, this unique holiday house fits naturally onto the enourmous nature plot. Here there is charm and nostalgia, warmth and soul, and you easily feel totally at ease. The garden room will quickly become your favourite spot with a unique sea view. From the kitchen you can also see the sea. When the access to the rather steep staircase to the first floor is made, you find two bedrooms, also with sea view, and a soft sofa, where you may digest the day’s events.
Enjoy life outside
The huge nature plot calls for many kinds of outdoor activities, from ball games to badminton. And when you get too hot, the water is only a few metres away for a cooling swim. If you like paddle board, the Skansehage Bay is an obvious choice, because it is sheltered from the waves from Kattegat and Isefjord. You may also bring a kayak or rent one or a SUP by the Kayakomat, an unmanned, self-service hire stall at Rørvig harbour, open 24 hours.
Get close to the local attractions
Great nature experiences await you right outside your door. Explore Skansehage by foot and learn the story about this fortification that was established during the wars against England and today is a protected and recreational area with grassing cattle and holiday makers. If you continue your walk along the coast, you reach Korshage, the most north-eastern part of Odsherred with a fine view to Hundested and the coasts of North Zealand. Late in the summer, the heather is lilac and creates a wonderful colour carpet in this area. You are also close to Dybesø Lake that you may wander around. Or visit Rørvig harbour, where the maritime environment and fresh fish and a fish restaurant invite to relaxation and culinary treats/specialities. We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend a visit to Anneberg Culture Park south of Nykøbing. The former mental hospital area is today a residential area as well as a culture area with a Michelin-star restaurant MOTA and the pasta restaurant Erba plus a series of new entrepreneur businesses such as Dansk Tang (=Danish Seaweed), the brewery Deeper Roots, Isøre ice cream, Rørvig Catering and Højsgaard Micro Vinery. In the former administration building, centrally located in Grønnegården, you find today the Artist Wing with about 50 active artists and craftsmen.
