Everything breathes peace and idyllic charm here on Råbjergvej in Kongsmark, where this charming summer house is located. The house was beautifully renovated in 2018, and outside, there is a huge natural plot to enjoy – in fact, it is so large that you can bring your own horse or pony completely free of charge if you would like to take it on holiday with you.
Welcome inside
The thatched brick property has a history that dates back a long way, but particularly in recent years, there have been many changes. In 2018, the house was thoroughly renovated, so you can look forward to enjoying your holiday in lovely and comfortable surroundings – complete with all kinds of appliances in the well-equipped kitchen, underfloor heating in the bathroom, and a heat pump in the living room. The updates have been made with respect for the original building style, so prominent ceiling beams and other fine details can still be seen in the atmospheric rooms. As is to be expected in a house from that era, the ceiling height under the wooden beams is about 180 cm in certain places. On the ground floor, the kitchen is integrated with a lovely dining room featuring a wood stove, and from here, you can step into a beautiful living room with soft sofas and large windows. Two bedrooms and the aforementioned bathroom are also on the ground floor, while the first floor offers an additional two bedrooms and a cozy hallway.
Enjoy life outside
Outside, you have plenty of space for big gestures and all sorts of play and relaxation on the large, beautiful natural plot. In addition to a garden with sun-drenched terraces and a lawn, there is also a grass field of 1 hectare belonging to the summer house – and here you will find electric fencing, a shelter, and water, making it a perfect holiday residence for a horse or pony.
Get up close to the local attractions
Rømø is a wonderful place to explore on horseback: there are fine riding trails in the plantations, and you can also gallop along the west coast on the white sandy beaches. If you are not bringing your own horse, you can go on excursions with the island’s riding centers – alternatively, you can experience the island's beautiful nature on foot, by bike, or by car. From the lovely and peaceful address in Kongsmark, you can easily get around, for example, to the beautiful Lakolk Beach or to Havneby, which offers a golf course, fish shops, and regular ferry departures to the neighboring island of Sylt. From the summer house, you have easy access to the mainland via the Rømø Dam, from which you can enjoy the fantastic view over the Wadden Sea. This trip is perfect for when you're in the mood for a swim, as guests of the summer house have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret.
