Additionally, it’s just a short walk to Havneby’s square and harbor area, where you can shop in the supermarket and at the fish shop. You can also choose to dine at one of the town's restaurants or even take a day trip by ferry to the German neighboring island of Sylt, where there are also good restaurants. In Havneby, you can rent bikes if you want to explore Rømø—such as heading to Sønderstrand, which is one of Northern Europe's widest beaches. Rømø is part of the Wadden Sea National Park, and the beautiful tidal area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering many unforgettable nature experiences ahead.
