Description
This large, well-appointed quality summer house in the Sønderstrand area accommodates ten people. Therefore, it is a perfect choice for a big family holiday or two families with children who want to spend their vacation days together in Rømø’s beautiful natural surroundings.
Welcome inside
You will have a total of 175 m² to spread out in the thatched summer house, a solid building from 1972. In 2005, the house was renovated, and it now appears neat and well-maintained with many modern conveniences. For example, there is both a spa and a sauna in one of the house's two bathrooms, which is supplemented by a guest toilet on the first floor. The summer house has five bedrooms located on both floors—and this is one of the nice features of the layout, especially when you have many people gathered. It is also great to have two lovely living rooms to gather in: One living room is located on the first floor with direct access to a balcony, while the ground floor features a large living area with a fireplace insert, soft seating, a long table, and an integrated kitchen section.
Enjoy life outside
Outside there are several lovely sunlit spots and plenty of space to gather. The plot measures 3000 m², and around the house, there are several terrace areas, including a covered terrace area. You will, of course, have garden furniture and sun loungers available, and there is also a grill, so you can prepare dinner outdoors.
Get up close to the local attractions
It’s incredibly easy to get out into the beautiful nature that surrounds the summer house. Directly across the way, Vråby tree plantation sprawls out, and at the end of the road, there is a dog park where you can let your four-legged family members roam free. If you are in the mood for a swim, you can enjoy the North Sea on Rømø’s west coast—either at Lakolk - or Sønderstrand beach, the latter being closest to the summer house. On the kilometer-wide Sønderstrand, there are also plenty of opportunities to try various forms of wind sports like kite buggying and blokarting, and you can both rent equipment and get lessons before you throw yourself into it. If the weather is more inviting for an indoor swim, you can drive across the causeway to the mainland, where, as guests in the summer house, you have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret. The village of Havneby offers a supermarket, several dining options, bike rentals, and a ferry to the neighboring German island of Sylt.
