Description
The view alone is reason enough to spend your holiday here at Davidstræde 21 in Kongsmark. This lovely summer house is located right next to an expansive heath area, and from both the house and the terrace, you can gaze across the beautiful landscape.
Welcome inside
At this address, it's definitely not just the view that attracts, as the summer house itself is an exceptionally charming example with a thatched roof, white casement windows, and a red brick façade. Indoors, you have 90 m2 to enjoy, which includes three bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The latter features the lovely detail of having a sauna—so if the North Sea is colder than expected, you can warm up after your swim. In the house's large angled living room, you'll also easily keep warm, as it features both a wood-burning stove and an air-source heat pump.
Enjoy life outside
A large wooden terrace wraps around several sides of the house, making it easy to find a suitable spot to relax in the sun, and if you prefer shade, you can settle down on the covered terrace area. The southwest-facing terrace is the obvious choice when you want to truly enjoy the view over the open land. It’s also quite excellent to sit on the east terrace, sheltered between the garage and the house, where you can look straight out at your own large natural plot.
Get up close to the local attractions
Davidstræde is a wonderful place to vacation—not only for the scenic panoramic view but also thanks to the central location on Rømø. You are close to the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and it’s not far to Kirkeby Plantation and the viewpoint Spidsbjerg. Kongsmark is also where the island’s excellent butcher is located, and it’s a short walk to the cozy café Hattesgaard, which also sells antiques. To the west, it’s just a few kilometers to Lakolk Strand, one of Europe’s widest sandy beaches. It’s wonderful for swimming—even for the younger family members, as the water is shallow.
