Right between Nordstrand and the market town Nykøbing Sj. you find this well maintained, charming and centrally located holiday house, not far from one of the good sandy beaches in Odsherred. Here you have every possibility for a wonderful and active holiday all year round, and within a short drive you get scenic nature areas and attractions.
Welcome inside
The holiday house is withdrawn on a lovely level plot with a couple of tall trees and with nice big windows, where you, from the open living room, can enjoy the view of the garden from the dining table as well as from the sofa. The holiday house has a light furnishing with a modern twist. While the wood burner, placed in the middle of the house between the open kitchen and the living room, is providing the heat, you may take out a board game to please the entire family. If it is summer and sunshine, open the doors to the terrace and let the sun beams send in light and warmth.
Enjoy life outside
You can enjoy the morning on the east-facing side of the house, where you find a table and chairs right outside the kitchen door. Lunch and dinner may be served at the table below the sunshade on the spacious south-facing tiled terrace. On the big well laid-out plot there are good possibilities for a family match of football or badminton, but you can also play a game of croquet or other garden games till far out in the evening in the light summer night. The house is located in a position that you will hear traffic from the road close by.
Get close to the local attractions
A few hundred metres north of the holiday house at the end of the holiday house roads you have one of the most popular bathing beaches in the area, Nykøbing Nordstrand, a broad and long child-friendly sandy beach with the finest water and sandy bottom. You may also take a walk along the beach here at Kattegat towards east and then return back west through the forest Rørvig Sandflugtsplantage, situated right behind the dunes. The holiday house is centrally located and is a perfect base for many of the attractions and towns in Odsherred.
We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend a hike on the Ridge Trail, a 7km long route from the shelter ground in Veddinge across Esterhøj hill in Høve and onwards to the most impressive burial mound in Odsherred, Maglehøj, and finish by Dutterhøje towards east. On this trip you will experience breathtaking views of the Ice Age landscape and the sea.
If you are not too keen on heights, we recommend instead the Culture Path in Nykøbing, 5,8 km. It is a fresh and versatile walk through the town, around the harbour, into the forest and along the beautiful Nykøbing Fjord.
The area is rich on cultural events – from active craftsmen workshops and decorations of the arcades in the town to prize-awarded architecture, dramatic history and strikingly beautiful nature. During the walk you can listen to podcasts that tell the story of some of the places that the Culture Path passes by.
