Description
The area by Sandvads Vænge at Vesterlyng close to Nykøbing Sj. houses some of the biggest holiday houses and biggest nature plots in Odsherred. Here you are close to the town life and the attractions and are still staying in a very peaceful area close to the fine bathing beach in Nyrup Bay. In short – here you get every ingredient for the perfect holiday.
Welcome inside
The well designed and spacious family- and child-friendly log house on two levels has room for the big family or even two families. You may split up between the ground floor and first floor, from where you also have a sea view from the balcony. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, so if walking a staircase is a problem for you, you may sleep there. From the light living room with the big terrace doors and big windows you may follow the outdoor life all through the day. From the open kitchen you can follow the conversation in the living room, while the roast is in the oven, or you are making pancakes for the afternoon coffee. On the first floor with the two bedrooms there is also room for the children to play.
Enjoy life outside
On the terrace outside the living room you may enjoy the sun all day long and follow the outdoor life on the big nature plot – maybe a deer will pass by, if you sit quietly? You can almost smell the salt from the sea in the fresh sea breeze, and from the balcony on the first floor you may sit and enjoy the view of nature and the glimpse of the beach, located only a few hundred metres away and inviting to hours of activities on the beach and on the water.
Get close to the local attractions
At Feriepartner Odsherred we recommend you to take a short drive or go by bicycle to Trundholm Moor south of Nr. Asmindrup to the finding place of the Sun Chariot and listen to the sound story on podcast about the Sun Chariot, a national treasure and one of the most important and most famous finds from the Bronze Age in Europe. Follow the footpaths around the moor, where the Sun Chariot was found in 1902 during a ploughing.
On the way back to the holiday house you should make a stop by the passage grave Birkehøj, facing the Oddenvej in Nyrup. The burial chamber was built over 5000 years ago and is 11 metres long and has an impressive stone construction. There is free public entrance to this unique passage grave.
