The main building and breeding farm were built around 1870, but the place has no doubt been built on since the Middle Ages.

The main house has 7 rooms with 1 double bed in each, and it is possible to make 2 extra beds. There are 4 bathrooms and a guest toilet. There is also a kitchen, fitted with a fridge, dishwasher, hob and microwave. There are opportunities for various activities for groups or the whole family on joint holiday stays. This also applies to the fine green garden that matches Hvolgaard's green surroundings.
