Description
Interior
This incredibly well-situated house at Pøt Strandby has panoramic views and direct access to the lovely beach. The house has large windows and a large, open garden, so the view over As Vig can be enjoyed to the full. The house is from 1987, but it is a very well-maintained cottage, renovated in 2017. The red bricks inside have been preserved, creating an authentic and cosy atmosphere in the house.
The central room of the house is a large living room, where the sofa corner invites you to cosy up with the whole family in the soft furniture. At the same time, the living room is connected with the kitchen and the dining area, where there is plenty of space for everyone to sit around the table and enjoy the meals.
It is of course also possible to turn on the TV, which in addition to the TV package with Danish, German, Norwegian and Swedish channels has Apple TV, which makes it possible to watch your own streaming services via your own mobile/tablet. There is free Wi-Fi available in the house. On the sofa you can also enjoy the warmth of the centrally located wood stove, which creates good warmth and cosiness in the colder months. The décor is homely and the large living room with its stunning views makes it an ideal place to spend a lot of time.
The kitchen is directly connected to the living room, and a half-wall makes it possible to cook while joining in the conversation at the dining table. The kitchen has great facilities and everything you need for holiday meals. It includes a cooker, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher.
There is also a small dining table behind the half-wall, which is ideal if you are only 2 people. From here there is also direct access to the south-facing terrace.
From the living room there is access to a double room, which has the same beautiful view of the garden and the sea. The view does not get much more beautiful to wake up to, and this large bedroom with a good double bed is a very attractive room in the house. From this bedroom there is also access to the en-suite bathroom.
In addition, the house also has a room that is perfect for children. Here is a single bed and bunk bed with a double bed at the bottom. There are games and toys, so entertainment is already guaranteed.
On the first floor is another bedroom. It is accessed via a steep staircase, but the views are also great here. The room is bright with wall-to-wall carpet and both a good single and double bed.
The house has two bathrooms, one accessed from the master bedroom and the other with a shower. Both bathrooms have tiled floors and underfloor heating.
In addition to the entrance, the utility room is also a good available space, where you will find an ironing board, washing machine and an extra children chair.
In addition to underfloor heating in the bathrooms and the wood-burning stove, the house is heated by a heat pump.
Outdoors
This cottage has a large and open ground, which makes the view great inside as well as outside the house.
In front of the house is a lovely wooden terrace that is both east and south facing. There is comfortable garden furniture, sun loungers, grill, and a fire pit, so the terrace naturally becomes an extension of the house's living space. From the living room there is a direct exit to the terrace and by foot you can walk across the lawn, where there is a path directly down to the water, which is only 50 meters from the house.
The terrace is cosily framed by shrubs, fences and flower pots, so the good views can be enjoyed in the well-maintained garden. There is also a cosy wooden shelter, which is nicely shielded by bushes, but at the same time with the fantastic sea view, which you can fully enjoy from here.
In front of the house there is a good driveway and carport, providing good parking facilities. There is also a small garden with a flagpole. It is also the possibility to charge your electric car. Type 2 plugs including cable are available at the house.
Location
The summerhouse is located in the 1st row towards the beautiful pebble / sand beach at Pøt Strandby. The nature here is very beautiful, and the bathing water is fine quality. The beach is also surrounded by woods and slopes, so it is an ideal place for walks. Here you can also walk the popular hiking trail, Kyststien between Snaptun and Juelsminde.
Close to the house is the village Glud, where you will find Glud museum, and a few more kilometers from the house is Denmark's Ferguson Museum. The two local attractions are worth a visit.
Around Horsens Fjord there are also many nature experiences. 5 kilometers from the house is the harbour town Snaptun, from where you can visit the small islands Hjarnø or Endelave on a one-day trip.
Shopping is just 3 kilometers away, and if you want to go to a slightly larger town, Horsens is 17 kilometers from the house. There are many shopping opportunities and a pedestrian street with specialty shops. Horsens also has a wide selection of restaurants and, not least, many attractions. For example, visit FÆNGLSET, which is now an exciting museum, or Horsens New Theatre, which puts on many good performances every year.
If you like golf, Juelsminde Golf Club is only 5 kilometres from the house, and if you want new challenges, Stensballegaard Golf Club is on the other side of Horsens Fjord. This area offers many activities, whether you like walking in nature, golf, or cultural city life.
