Description
Cozy holiday home in a prime location by the North Sea. No matter the season, staying so close to the majestic North Sea is an extraordinary experience – and right by the landing site in the historic fishing village of Lild Strand.
Welcome Inside
The holiday home features a simple and functional layout, making optimal use of every square meter. There are two bedrooms, accommodating up to six overnight guests. The floor plan also includes a bathroom and a living area with an integrated kitchen and lounge. This is the largest room in the house, and at one end, it extends into a small sunroom – a delightful spot to soak up the sun if the weather is too chilly to sit outside under the open sky. The living room also has a wood-burning stove, perfect for cozy evenings filled with board games and crime novels by the crackling warmth of the fire.
Enjoy Life Outside
To the southeast of the house, there is a lovely wooden terrace where you can settle into the garden furniture, fire up the grill, and enjoy the peace and quiet – with access directly through the main door. The house is set back on a beachfront plot that is large and slightly undulating. There is ample parking in front of the garage, which is locked and not part of the rental.
Get Up Close to the Local Attractions
The North Sea is bound to play a significant role in your holiday when you are literally neighbors to the blue waves. The house is located right by Lild Strand's landing site, where fishing is still actively practiced. It’s fascinating to watch the boats being pulled ashore, and in the village's two shops, you can buy fresh and smoked fish to enjoy for dinner. If you’re not spending all your time outdoors, you can visit a couple of galleries in the old fishing village. Lild Strand is surrounded by plantation and dune heath, with Bulbjerg bird cliff to the northeast, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the sea and the rugged coastal landscape. A drive west to Vigsø Strand is also highly recommended, where bunkers lie exposed on the beach as eerie remnants of World War II. The area around Lild Strand and Bulbjerg, stretching up to Thorup Strand, has been designated and certified as a Dark Sky Park. From the house and the property, you can marvel at the night sky and fully enjoy the deep darkness. Here, the only sound is the constant roar of the sea.
Remember, you can always borrow pull-along wagons, highchairs, and cots from us at Feriepartner Jammerbugt. You can pick them up directly from our office and return them after your holiday.
