Romantic gem in the first dune row at Lild Strand
House-ID: JB150Welcome inside
This 40 m² annex has everything you need for a peaceful holiday focused on quality time together. There is no WiFi or TV, encouraging you to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature and each other. Despite its compact size, the space is well-designed, featuring an entryway, a bathroom with a shower and washing machine, a cozy living area with a dining table, sofa corner, and wood-burning stove, as well as a functional kitchen with a combination oven and gas hob. Sleeping arrangements include a small loft (accessible by ladder from the entryway) and a sofa bed in the living area—both measuring 140 x 200 cm. From both the loft and the living room, you’ll enjoy a stunning view over the open dune landscape, with the North Sea in the background.
Enjoy life outside
The spacious 5,000 m² natural plot is located right next to the last dune ridge before the beach and the North Sea. This means you’ll always hear the sound of the waves and smell the salty sea air. A small path leads 75 meters through the dunes to the shoreline, where you can dip your toes in the blue waters. At the top of the dunes, a bench has been placed, offering the perfect spot to take in the view and let your thoughts wander. There is a small terrace by the annex entrance with a beautiful view, and in the sheltered corner between the main house and the annex, you’ll find the perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee in peace. Please note that the large southwest-facing terrace belongs to the main house and is not available for use.
Get up close to the local attractions
With the North Sea as your neighbor, the ocean will naturally become a key part of your holiday experience. You’ll be staying close to Lild Strand’s fishing harbor, where coastal fishing is still practiced today. In the village’s two shops, you can buy freshly caught or smoked fish to prepare for dinner. Lild Strand is also home to a few art galleries, adding a cultural touch to the old fishing village. However, if nature calls to you, you’ll find yourself surrounded by dune heathland and coastal plantations. For a unique cultural experience, visit Kirsten Kjær’s Museum near Frøstrup, known for its extraordinary atmosphere and live concerts during the summer months. If you head northeast, you’ll reach Bulbjerg Bird Cliff, offering a breathtaking panoramic view over the sea and rugged coastline. For a historical adventure, drive west to Vigsø Beach, where World War II bunkers remain scattered across the shore, serving as a fascinating reminder of the past. For practical needs, Frøstrup (9 km from Lild Strand) has a well-stocked grocery store and bike rental options, allowing you to explore the area at your own pace. The Lild Strand and Bulbjerg area, extending toward Thorup Strand, is part of a certified Dark Sky Park. This means you can fully experience the deep, undisturbed darkness of the night sky, with nothing but the sound of the waves in the background.
Remember: At Feriepartner Jammerbugt, you can always borrow wagons, highchairs, and baby cots. Simply pick them up at our office and return them when your holiday is over.
