Welcome inside
With such beautiful and undisturbed surroundings, you’ll likely spend most of your holiday outdoors. However, the interior of the house is just as inviting, with a charming and personal décor that creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. On cooler days, you can light the wood-burning stove in the morning while preparing breakfast in the open kitchen. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas, perfect for reading a book or the newspaper. Although there is no TV, the high-speed WiFi allows you to stream the news or your favorite series on a laptop or tablet. In addition to the living area, the house features a modern bathroom and three comfortable bedrooms, accommodating six guests. An annex next to the main house offers an additional double bed and a baby cot, making it ideal for larger families or extra privacy.
Enjoy life outside
The holiday home and annex are connected by a fantastic terrace area, designed for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The space includes sheltered sunspots, covered sections, and open areas, so you can always find the perfect place to sit while admiring the natural surroundings and stunning heathland views. For outdoor cooking, you can smoke freshly caught fish in the smoke oven or grill sausages over the firepit. The firepit area is even decorated with buoys and fishing equipment, creating an authentic coastal atmosphere. Please note that a grill is not provided at the house.
Get up close to the local attractions
Horsbakkevej is a quiet cul-de-sac, directly bordering the dune heath between Lild Klitplantage and the North Sea. Despite its tranquil setting, the house is centrally located in Lild Strand, just 200 meters from the beach and a short walk from the fishing harbor. Here, both locals and visitors can buy fresh and smoked fish at the traditional coastal landing site. The village also features art galleries and a community center hosting various events. For those interested in music and art, a visit to Kirsten Kjær’s Museum near Frøstrup is highly recommended. Nature lovers will appreciate the unique coastal landscape, where you can explore plantations, beaches, the sea, and protected dune heaths stretching as far as the eye can see. The Lild Strand and Bulbjerg area, extending towards Thorup Strand, is part of a certified Dark Sky Park, offering incredible stargazing opportunities. From the house and garden, you can fully experience the deep darkness of the night sky, with only the sound of the waves in the background.
