Description
Welcome inside.
We enter the main house and immediately realise that this is something special: a log cabin, tastefully decorated, with large tiles on the floor, a large open kitchen adjacent to the living room and dining area. Everywhere you look you have a beautiful view of Roskilde Fjord and Crown Princess Mary's bridge. with Frederikssund in the background. Fields and meadows with abundant wildlife right outside the windows, so settle down with a glass of wine in front of the cosy wood-burning stove and watch this amazing scene. The house has two bathrooms and two bedrooms; in one you'll wake up to this amazing view, making you want to stay awake a little longer and just enjoy the view. The annex is also a log cabin in the same beautiful style as the main house with a bedroom with a view, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. In addition to these lovely conditions, there is a large common activity room with both billiards and table tennis, so it's a great place for a competition to see who can master these sports challenges.
Ejno life outside.
After competing in the activity room, it's ideal to rinse off in the outdoor shower before relaxing on the large terrace where you can gaze out over Roskilde Fjord and warm up for a barbecue and cosy time. You could also take a short walk of about 100 metres down to the water to take a completely undisturbed dip if you feel like it! Enjoy a moment in a sun lounger with a good book and get some sun on your body. In the garden of approx. 7000m2, there is plenty of space for games and play. This is the place where holidays make sense.
Get close to local experiences.
Right outside the house there are plenty of opportunities for excursions. Take a walk down to the cosy Skuldelev harbour where you'll meet the locals, maybe an angler has caught an extra fish to take home on the barbecue. Take a walk on Skuldelev Ås, which stretches for about 5 km through the landscape, about 30 metres high, a beautiful walk with flowers and wildlife. There is also a bathing lake with shelter and campfire site, definitely an excursion you should take. If you're travelling by bike or car, Svanholm Manor or Selsø Castle are good suggestions for an excursion, or take a trip on the Fjord Trail where you can explore nature along the fjord. The area offers several good places to eat, including Gershøj Kro or Gerlev Kro. You can also within approx. 30 min. Roskilde and experience the old cathedral city and visit the Viking Ship Museum etc. Head to Frederikssund to the Viking settlement where Viking games are played in the summer or experience the Frederikssund Festival in August, Denmark's most cosy festival, or experience one of the city's restaurants - there is a rich selection.
