Havnsø is located directly by the sea and offers a cosy maritime environment with eating places and shops at the harbour besides ferries to the islands Sejerø and Nekselø. From the holiday house on Middelvej you just have to cross the small road, and then you are at the beach and the good bathing water. Close by you find Vesterlyng with a 5km long child-friendly bathing beach and 326 hectares land with commons, juniper scrubs, sand dunes and free-range cattle and horses. The biggest heath and untamed migrating dune on Zealand is located by the Sejerø Bay between Havnsø and Alleshave. Eskebjerg Vesterlyng is really unique.

Welcome inside
In the light and spacious living room with a sofa, dining table and double-height ceiling you have a view to the sea in Nekselø Bay and may see the islands Nekselø and Sejerø as well as follow the changing reflection of the light during the day in the blue sea. It can be difficult to take your eyes away from the front row view to the sea, but in the living room you may also gather the family around the dining table for a board game, a jigsaw puzzle or bingo.

Enjoy life outside

On the terrace you are even closer to the fresh sea, located on the other side of the road less than 50m away. Take a walk to the harbour to buy fresh fish and sit down on the terrace for a delicious lunch. The sea is tempting to walks and a swim several times a day. Close by you find Vesterlyng with a five kilometres long child-friendly bathing beach. The area is protected and also offers nice walks on the common areas behind the sand dunes.

Get close to the local attractions

We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend that you bring your family on a trip to the islands Nekselø or Sejerø – both exciting small islands with beautiful and versatile nature and a silence and peace that you will enjoy. The ferries depart from Havnsø harbour and takes about 20 minutes to Nekselø and 65 minutes to Sejerø. Sejerø is 12km long and 2km wide and one of the locations in Denmark with the most sunny hours. The mild climate, the undulating landscape and the many small bathing beaches make the island a popular excursion and holiday destination. The island has several burial mounds and a menhir northwest of Sejerby. The church was built at the end of the 12th century and displays beautiful frescos. You may drive your car on Sejerø, but we recommend you to leave the car at home and instead bring your bicycles or take the tour around on some of the many fine walking routes. On Nekselø you may only get around by foot. The island offers great variety from cliffs towards west to soft valleys towards north, south and east.
