Fantastic modern holiday house close to lovely beach(550m) and cosy harbour en­viron­ment

This superb house, located in the beautiful UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred, invites to fantastic holidays with an abundance of po­s­si­bi­li­ties for acti­vi­ties or just re­laxa­tion and bathing.

Interior
The house is light and spacious and contains a reception room with huge panorama windows, TV with Chro­mecast and a heat pump. The kitchen is in open con­nection and is equipped with a dis­hwas­her and microwave. The dining section invites to cosy times for the entire family. Due to the panorama windows in the entire reception room/kitchen area, the incident light is perfect. There are 3 good bedrooms, one of them with a double bed 150x200cm, the others with 2 single beds that can be put together as doubles. The house is sur­ro­un­ded by an enormous and beautiful wooden terrace, creating a natural extension of the reception room and kitchen, and with a lot of space to scamper about. The terrace is fenced and therefore perfect for children to play on. The terrace also offers a lovely outdoor shower for hot days after a visit the beach or playtime. The plot is natural plot with shelter and fire pit.

Location / the area
The area around Havnsø offers every po­s­si­bi­li­ty for a wonderful holiday. The sandy beach, a part of the area Ve­ster­lyng, is child-friendly, carries a Blue Flag and is well suited for windsur­fing. In the northern area of Ordrup (about 16km) there is another child-friendly sandy beach.

Ve­ster­lyng by Havnsø is the biggest moor landscape on Zealand with grass meadows, small lakes, heather and an ex­cep­tio­nal flora. The area is actually protected. Ordrup Næs is a partially protected nature reserve with hardwood and co­ni­ferous trees. From the tip of the isthmus you have the po­s­si­bi­li­ty to watch porpoises and seals, and the view from the foreland is bre­ath­taking­ly beautiful.

In the small charming summer village Ordrup, close to the holiday house, you can enjoy a glass of foaming draught beer or have a nice lunch in one of the re­stau­rants in the village.

You can also enjoy the at­mosp­he­re in the lovely small Havnsø Harbour with re­stau­rants, yachts and a ferry berth. Maybe you can buy fresh fish or go with the ferry to the small car-free island Nekselø, which – with its scenic and in­tri­gu­ing landscape, the rich fauna and the grand panoramic views – certainly is worth a visit. Or you can sail to Sejerø, with the mildest climate in Denmark, un­du­lat­ing landsca­pes, many small beaches and several passage graves and a menhir. Dragsholm Castle is the oldest castle in Denmark. The original fortress from the Early Middle Ages has a dungeon and can offer many ghost stories. There is also a very beautiful castle park on the premises.

Odsherred is rich on walking and bicycle routes in the in­te­r­e­sting and un­du­lat­ing landsca­pes. You can walk the Ridge Trail, where you walk in types of landsca­pes typically created by the edge of a glacier. On a bicycle you can drive the Ice Age Route or along the Fjord Path and many other lovely routes, taking you through exciting, historic and won­der­ful­ly scenic areas. In Kårup Forest you find a nature play­gro­und and very good po­s­si­bi­li­ties to ex­pe­ri­en­ce the local animals. Also visit Vejrhøj, the highest point in Odsherred, and let yourself get carried away by the panoramic view of Sejerø Bay with the islands Nekselø and Sejerø but also the inland view where, in clear weather, you can spot up to 27 church spires. The area is well-filled with farm shops, wine producers, micro breweries and local artists. The children will love to spend a day in the amusement park Som­mer­land Sjælland, which has been elected the family ex­pe­ri­en­ce of the year with more than 60 different acti­vi­ties. Nykøbing Sjælland offers excellent shopping fa­ci­li­ties, local spe­ci­a­li­ties and several really good re­stau­rants.

Around the house there are big communal areas for paying and games and just being there. From there a direct and cosy path leads to the sandy beach.
