The area

Helnæs is one of South Funen's beautiful natural areas, featuring a special hilly landscape, charming Funen farm­hou­ses, and great fishing op­portu­ni­ties. The peninsula is connected to Funen by a natural causeway. The coastline east of Helnæs is both beautiful and has re­la­ti­ve­ly calm waters. At the sout­her­n­most tip of the island, you’ll find the campsite, where you can purchase es­sen­ti­als, as well as the holiday home area. The beaches on Helnæs vary from lovely sandy beaches to beautiful natural beaches. Also, visit Helnæs Inn, which serves delicious Danish pub food. The town of Assens, with good shopping options, re­stau­rants, and a cozy harbor, is located about 20 km north of Helnæs. There are only 50 meters to a green area with a nature play­gro­und, which includes a zip line, swings, balance equipment, a shelter with a grill, and petanque and football pitches. It is also about 500 meters to Helnæs Mill, where you'll find the re­stau­rant AKS.
