Description
Thatched charm and modern design blend elegantly at Hympelvej 49. This beautiful, fully renovated wooden summer house is the perfect place to unwind far away from everyday life – and just a short walk from Rindby Strand.
Welcome inside
The thatched wooden house is situated high on the dune plot, providing not only lovely light through the mullioned windows but also a stunning view over the scenic summer house area. From the first floor, you even have a glimpse of the sea from the two bedrooms and the hallway, which is furnished with cozy daybeds that invite long reading sessions or perhaps an afternoon nap. Overall, it is clear that great care has been taken in the decor following the total renovation of the house, which took place from 2020 to 2022. The spirit of the house and the classic building style from 1966 have been preserved, but the interior is modern – for example, the lovely spa bath and the new wood stove in the living room. In 2024, a beautiful new kitchen was created, along with new floors, walls, doors, and ceilings on the ground floor. Everything is freshly painted, and many new garden furniture pieces have been added, all contributing to sweetening you and your family's holiday life.
Enjoy life outside
Although it is delightful to relax in the atmospheric and well-furnished house, you will likely feel the urge to move outside as soon as the sun shines. It is wonderful to lean back in a good garden chair in summer temperatures and fresh, salty air. A large, partially sheltered terrace area extends around the house, but you can also sit in the garden furniture directly on the dune top. From the hilly plot, you can enjoy the view of the sea and the undulating landscape, and with the right wind conditions, you might even see colorful kites dancing in the sky above the beach.
Get up close to the local attractions
You can, of course, also participate in kite flying by heading down to Rindby Strand. It's only about 300 meters away, so there’s no need to get the car out – unless you dream of taking a spectacular beach drive along the North Sea. A refreshing dip in the sea or a trip on a SUP board is also possible, and if you don’t want to spend the whole day at the beach, there are plenty of experiences to be had on Fanø. Mini golf and blokarting are popular activities, while both Sønderho and Nordby are charming towns to visit. You can also get to know the Wadden Sea more closely by going on a guided oyster or seal safari.
Please note that you can always borrow high chairs and cribs from Feriepartner Fanø. Reserve through the booking so that it is ready for you when you arrive at the summer house.
