Description
Few homes are as well-located as this modern luxury holiday home at Sønderho Strandvej 69. It has an exclusive address in the front row to the beach, and from both the ground floor and the first floor, you can enjoy the most stunning panoramic views of the sea and the gently rolling dune landscape.
Welcome inside
The holiday home resembles a classic Fanø house, standing there in the dunes with a thatched roof, sash windows, and an arched dormer over the green front door. However, the property was only built in 2021, and indoors, it is furnished with modern interiors and beautiful details that ensure you and your loved ones have a fantastic base for relaxing and enjoying holiday life. In one of the bathrooms, there is a bathtub and an infrared sauna if you want to fully unwind and feel the warmth spreading all the way to your toes. The beautiful kitchen is a lovely gathering place – here, daylight pours in from three directions, and you have an unobstructed view of the natural surroundings, whether you are standing at the stove or sitting on the bar stools at the kitchen island. You will definitely also enjoy the sea view in the first-floor lovely living room, where you can see far to the south over Mandø or let your gaze wander over the water to the west and north. The living room also offers several cozy corners where you can dive into a good book or take a much-needed afternoon nap.
Enjoy life outside
The day's siesta can also conveniently take place outdoors, as a paved terrace area spreads around the house with several good sitting spots. Of course, there is quality garden furniture available, so you have the option to gather around the garden table with family as well as relax in the lounge chair on your own – and when the evening comes, perfect for grilling and admiring the sunset, the sea and the beach-covered dunes create the most beautiful backdrop. If you are driving an electric car, it is practical that there is a charger located at the parking area northeast of the house.
Get up close to the local attractions
If you love beautiful nature and open spaces, it will surely feel exclusive to stay on a large dune plot right by the coastal conservation line. You only have to walk 100 meters before you reach the beach, where the tidal change between ebb and flow causes the Wadden Sea to change character from time to time. When the flat mudflat is exposed, you can go out to see seals at Galgerev – for example, on a guided seal safari – and if you want to collect oysters or watch migratory birds, that's also possible on Fanø. It is also allowed to drive on the beach if you want to head north to experience the breathtaking coastline and take a refreshing dip in the sea.
Please note that you can always borrow high chairs and cribs from Feriepartner Fanø. Reserve them through the booking so that they are ready for you when you arrive at the holiday home.
