Get close to local experiences! Fjellerup Strand is an old fishing village and today a popular holiday area on the lovely northern coast of Djursland. Here you'll find bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants. The beach is very child-friendly with shallow water and mainly sandy bottoms. The nature on and behind the northern coast is wonderfully varied with numerous small paths and roads, perfect for beautiful hikes and bike rides. Fishing enthusiasts can look forward to excellent conditions, and windsurfers are magically drawn to Fjellerup. If fishing isn't successful, you can buy fresh fish from several places. In the harbor area, you'll also find good restaurants and a very popular ice cream shop. Nearby attractions include the beautiful Mejlgård Gods Castle, where you can enjoy culinary delights at the tavern. The historically significant caves at Tustrup and the so-called "Stendysser" (stone dolmens) are also truly worth seeing. Children will love Northern Europe's largest amusement park - Djurs Sommerland, just a fifteen-minute drive away, which introduces new and exciting activities almost every year. If you drive just half an hour, you can also reach popular attractions such as the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, Ree Park Safari, and the fascinating Kattegat Center in Grenå. And let's not forget everything else Djursland has to offer.
