Get up close to the local attractions
The area around Øer is known as a tranquil, extremely popular holiday area close to the forest and beach. The sandy beach is characterised by its shallow water. Some parts of the beach are a mixture of sand and stones. Mountain bikers can look forward to a 13-kilometre MTB trail, which is divided into different levels of difficulty. Within five minutes by car, you and your family can reach the harbour of Ebeltoft, where the Glasmuseet, one of the leading museums for modern glass art, is already looking forward to your visit. There are also several good places to eat in the harbour. You can stock up on freshly caught fish for a barbecue in the harbour every day. The picturesque old town centre of Ebeltoft will enchant you in no time with its cosy cobblestone streets, lovely cafés and numerous small shops where you can buy handicrafts, among other things. The most visited sight in the city is the famous old town hall, Det Gamle Rådhus. After all, it is not without reason that countless couples from all over the world get married here every year.
Within an hour by car, you can reach the interesting Kattegat Centre in Grenaa and the largest amusement park in the north, the popular Djurs Sommerland. We also recommend trips to the many other parks that Djursland has to offer, such as Ree Park and Skandinavisk Dyrepark. Finally, we would of course also like to recommend a long walk in the fantastic Mols Bjerge National Park.
