Welcome Inside
On arrival day, imagine the car being parked, and the children rushing out to run towards the spacious, modern holiday home waiting for you. As you step inside, you're greeted by a home where comfort and practicality go hand in hand – it's stylish, welcoming, and ready to provide you with an unforgettable holiday together.
The day begins with a family breakfast in the beautiful open-plan kitchen, where everyone can pitch in. With two ovens, there’s plenty of room for both bread and rolls, and who knows, maybe a fun family baking contest could take place here? The kitchen flows into the dining area, and as you gather around the table, there's plenty of room for laughter and conversation about the day's adventures in Djursland.
After a day full of excitement – perhaps a visit to Djurs Sommerland or a trip to the beach – you return to the house and spread out into its many rooms. Some can take a well-deserved break in the warm sauna or indulge in the spa, while others head to the activity room for a few friendly matches and some good company. With billiards and table tennis, there’s plenty to do.
Later in the evening, some may gather in the living room, where the comfortable furniture invites relaxation. Maybe the day ends with a movie night or an intense round of PlayStation, where the family shares laughter and cheers.
With a total of 7 bedrooms, there’s ample space for everyone. You’ll find 6 rooms with double beds that can be converted into single beds, and a room with 4 cozy bunk beds. When the lights go off and the house settles into peace, you can look forward to another day filled with wonderful memories and togetherness. This holiday home is more than just a place to sleep; it’s the setting for your own unique holiday story – created together with the people you love.
Enjoy Life Outdoors
When you stay in this holiday home, you’re in the perfect spot to enjoy each other’s company, no matter if it's under the clear summer sky or on a cool autumn evening. The tiled terrace is a place where everyone can find their own corner – perhaps a sunny spot for a quiet moment with a book or a cozy nook in the shade when the weather cools down. Here, you can relax in the loungers, breathe in the fresh air, and let the surrounding nature invite you to unwind and connect.
The grill is always ready to go, and soon the scent of delicious food fills the air, quickly creating a warm and magical atmosphere. As dusk falls, nothing beats lighting the outdoor hot tub and letting the warm bubbles surround you as the darkness sets in. For those who love winter bathing, the sea is just a short 400-meter walk away. After a refreshing dip in the cool sea, you can warm up in the sauna, enjoy the hot tub inside, or relax in the outdoor hot tub. Please note that the hot tub should not be used when temperatures are below 3°C to avoid frost damage.
The large grassy lawn around the house invites plenty of outdoor play and activities for both children and adults. Whether it’s for a lively game of ball in the summer sun or fun on a cool winter’s day, there’s room for everyone to enjoy themselves. And for the little ones, there’s a swing and a sandbox, making it easy for the whole family to find their own form of holiday joy in the great outdoors.
Get up close to the local attractions
Skovgårde Strand is a quiet area a few kilometers west of Fjellerup Strand. Once a small fishing village, it’s now a popular holiday spot along the coast of North Djursland. The beach is very family-friendly with shallow water and sandy bottom, and it has a Blue Flag status, making it a great place for a day of fun. The surrounding nature is fantastic and varied, with many walking trails and quiet roads ideal for cycling. Along the coast, there are great opportunities for angling. Nearby attractions include Mejlgård Castle, the stone barrows at Tustrup, and the historic Gl. Estrup Castle.
From the house, it’s about a 15-minute drive to Djurs Sommerland, the largest amusement park in the Nordic countries. It’s also about a 30-minute drive to Grenå, where you’ll find the Kattegat Centre, where you can meet sharks, penguins, and seals. Don't miss a visit to visible parts of Djursland, where you can explore charming, historic Ebeltoft, or take a 1-hour drive to Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city. Known as the "City of Smiles," Aarhus truly lives up to its nickname and offers a wealth of culture, shopping, dining, and sports experiences.
