Get up close to the local attractions
The area around Øer is known as a beautiful, child-friendly area with a rich variety of wildlife and birdlife. The attractive beach is just a short walk from your holiday home. The Øer Maritme Ferieby holiday complex, where you can do your daily shopping in the summer months, is also within easy reach. Various hiking and fitness trails in the surrounding area invite you to get active. Mountain bikers can look forward to a fantastic 13-kilometre trail with varying degrees of difficulty. Just six kilometres separate your holiday home from the picturesque old town of Ebeltoft, which is famous for its numerous sights. In the town's harbour, for example, your family will come across the Glasmuseet, one of the leading museums for modern glass art. Cosy pubs and fishmongers in the harbour area also look forward to your visit. In the city centre, you will be greeted by what is probably the most famous sight - the old town hall ‘Det Gamle Rådhus’. Every year, countless couples from all over the world get married here in a historic setting. In the summer months, the famous night watchman awaits you at the town hall every evening at 8 and 9 pm, looking forward to patrolling the dark alleyways with you while singing.
A jeep safari in the popular Ree Park promises excitement for young and old alike, where you can get up close to wild animals. Another great excursion destination is the largest amusement park in the north, Djurs Sommerland, which you can reach by car within half an hour.
