The Area
Flovt Strand is located on the east coast of Jutland, about 9 km from the market town of Haderslev. The area consists of a small summer house neighborhood and a fantastic sandy beach, almost free of stones. Close to Flovt Strand lies the large inland lake Bankel Nor. In part of Flovt Strand, it is permitted to bathe without clothing. The market town of Haderslev offers plenty of old-town charm and a bustling main street with great shops. A few kilometers north of Flovt Strand lies Årø. This small island boasts stunning nature, rich wildlife, and designated cycling and hiking routes. At the small harbor, local fishermen and pleasure sailors create a cozy atmosphere. The ferry to Årø runs regularly, with the crossing taking only 10 minutes.
