Description
Welcome inside
A holiday home with saltwater in the air and smiles on your lips – just 50 meters from the beach.
Imagine waking up to the sound of waves gently rolling onto the shore. You step out onto the terrace with a warm cup of coffee in hand, as the sun slowly colors the sky over the sea in golden hues. The children are already planning their big sandcastle for the day, and the dog is wagging its tail in anticipation – the beach is only 50 meters away.
This holiday home is made for family memories. Uniquely located in the first row to the water, it offers both space and tranquility to relax and be together. The bright kitchen-dining area and living room bring everyone together for shared meals, games, and conversations – all with a view of the beautiful natural grounds and the ever-changing sea.
With two exits leading to the large, sunny terrace, outdoor living naturally becomes a part of your holiday days. Maybe you start the day with fresh rolls under the umbrella, and end it with grilled corn on the cob and shooting stars in the sky.
Inside, you’ll find three cozy bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two single beds and a desk – and a charming children’s room with bunk beds, where bedtime stories become even more magical. The bathroom is bright and functional, and in the entrance hall, there’s space for beach bags, rubber boots, and rain jackets, in case the weather plays tricks on you for a day. In the shed, the washing machine and tumble dryer are ready to make the practical parts of your stay easier.
This is not just a holiday home – it’s a place where you can let your shoulders drop, connect with each other, and create small, unforgettable moments.
Enjoy life outside
The holiday home sits on a huge beachfront plot of nearly 3,500 m² – a rare gem where nature is allowed to take center stage, and your holiday has room to breathe. Low, old vegetation with bushes sets the mood and gives the grounds a lively, natural feel – without obstructing the breathtaking view of the sea.
And the sea calls. This is where your day begins and ends perfectly – with a refreshing swim in the clear water. The morning dip gives you new energy, and the evening swim sends you to bed with salt on your skin and peace of mind as you say goodnight to the sea.
Also enjoy the outdoor shower – it’s something truly special to stand under the open sky with the sun or stars above you while taking a shower. Yes, and you can enjoy the view at the same time.
The terrace is large – really large – offering both sunny corners and a lovely covered area where you can enjoy breakfast sheltered from the dew on fresh mornings or retreat with a good book, even when the clouds pass by. Here, the whole family can gather for barbecues, card games, and those long, warm summer evenings where time stands still.
The view? It’s nothing short of spectacular. From both the terrace and the grounds, there is a panoramic view of the sea – it changes colors with the weather and brings a constant sense of calm to your holiday days. On a small bench facing the sea and the horizon, you can sit and just be. Feel the wind, listen to the waves, let your gaze wander over the water, and enjoy the sunset.
The grounds offer space for imagination, focus, and free play – right in nature’s own playground. Build dens, play tag, and paint smooth stones from the beach. Prepare for crab catching or try your luck with a fishing rod.
Get up close to the local attractions
Skovgårde Beach is a quiet and very beautiful area a few kilometers west of Fjellerup Beach. An old fishing village, now a lovely natural area on the northern coast of Djursland. The beach is very child-friendly, has a blue flag, and there are picnic tables where you can grill and eat while enjoying the water, with the children still swimming perhaps. The nature in and around Skovgårde is fantastic and varied, with many hiking trails and smaller roads ideal for walking and cycling. Along the coast, there are great opportunities for recreational fishing. Visit the local area and buy fresh fish, Danish vegetables, and honey. Djurs Sommerland keeps coming up with new activities every year and is a hit for the kids, located just 15 minutes' drive from the house. Also visit the bears at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park, sharks and penguins at the Kattegatcenter, or experience the life of nobility and servants at Gammel Estrup Manor House. If you crave city life and culture, it’s only an hour’s drive to Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city. Or how about visiting Randers Rainforest and the "tropics," just a 30-minute drive from the house? There are plenty of options across Djursland.
