Get close to local ex­pe­ri­en­ces Skovgårde Strand is a quiet and very beautiful area a few ki­lo­me­ters west of Fjellerup Strand. An old fishing village, which today is a beautiful natural area on the coast of Nord­djursland. The beach is very child-friendly and has a blue flag. On the beach, there are dunes and pools as well as shallow water and sandy bottom. The nature in and around Skovgårde is fantastic and varied with many hiking trails and small roads, ideal for hiking and cycling. Along the coast, there are good op­portu­ni­ties for fishing. Also, visit the local area and buy fresh fish, Danish ve­ge­tab­les, and honey. Near many family and amusement parks, such as Europe's largest Djurs Som­mer­land. You eat well in many places throug­hout Djursland, and the nature is ab­so­lu­te­ly fantastic. If you're in need of a big city and culture, it's just an hour's drive to Denmark's second-largest city, Aarhus.
