Description
With room for the big family or two families, this holiday house is located in Kårup, an attractive area close to Ordrup and the bathing beach here, and with good possibilities for an active holiday with activities in Kårup forest and Næsskoven forest, hikes in the area Bjergene and a view from one of the highest points on Zealand, Vejrhøj Hill.
Welcome inside
There are rooms, space and high ceilings in this peacefully located holiday house, and you will enjoy the view through the big panorama windows from floor to ceiling towards the terrace. At the kitchen island the children can peel the carrots and potatoes, while you are preparing the roast for the oven. When the meal is ready, you can just put it on the table nearby. There are nice window settings all along one side, so you may follow the landscape outside.
Enjoy life outside
With terraces towards south and west you may enjoy the course of the sun all day. There is also ample space for a small football match or a match in some the other garden games that you brought along. On the grass fields close to the house there are table/bench sets, from where you may watch the sunset and the outermost tip of Ordrup foreland. The undulating landscape around Ordrup, Skamlebæk and Vindekilde Strandvej is perfect for challenging bicycle rides, and in Kårup forest there are a total of three mountain bike routes marked with red, blue and black trails.
Get close to the local attractions
During Whitsun the many resident artists, artisans and galleries in Odsherred have special openings every year. But you may easily make your own art route all year round, as Odsherred is rich on pictorial weavers, ceramic artists, glass blowers, painters and many more art forms.
At Feriepartner Odsherred we recommend you to make a visit to the artist home Malergaarden in Plejerup by the Isefjord. Here you will enter a genuine time slot; you enter the Swane family’s well preserved artist home, where the incident light from the glittering fjord, the scents and the furniture in the old rooms are the very same that the painter Sigurd Swane and his family were surrounded by from the middle of the 1930’s.
You may also go exploring the beautiful and characteristic garden, opening directly onto the Isefjord. A garden so rich on flowers, nooks and corners and old trees that it in itself is worth a visit.
