Holiday house at Sjællands Odde in the middle of nature and close to two beaches

Overby Lyng is the long, narrow part of Sjællands Odde between Lumsås and Havnebyen, and the area is a developed holiday house area, sur­ro­un­ded by the sea at both sides: the blue Kattegat sea towards north and the fresh waves of Sejerø Bay towards south. Odden offers many good angling spots and fine po­s­si­bi­li­ties for acti­vi­ties by land as well as by sea from bathing and SUP to sailing and sea kayak. The area also offers many nice farm shops, galleries, life-style boutique, everyday com­mo­di­ties shops, the vineyard Ørnberg Vin and the charming fishing village Havnebyen with a yachting harbour, fis­h­mon­ger and smo­ke­hou­se open all year round. It is a holiday area that invites to an active holiday with plenty of fresh air and sun, sea and nature.

Welcome inside

This charming house has big window settings and therefore a good view to the spacious nature plot and the high pines. It almost feels like being in a forest, when you when you are sitting in the sofa or by the dining table. From the open kitchen you have a window to view outside but can also follow the con­ver­sa­tion inside. There is an in­de­pen­dent section with kit­che­net­te, so if you are two couples or a teenager needing a bit of space alone, this is a po­s­si­bi­li­ty.

Enjoy life outside

There are several good sitting and sheltered corners and terraces on the spacious nature plot, and under a porch roof you may barbecue ve­ge­tab­les and delicious steaks from the local su­per­mar­ket. Squirrels and deer are frequent visitors to the plot, and it is only a short walk to Kattegat and a bit further to the beach at the other side towards south in Sejerø Bay. So there is always a po­s­si­bi­li­ty to find your way to the sea at the other side for shelter.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

We at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Odsherred recommend you to bring your hiking boots and start the versatile hiking route ”From Coast to coast”, route number 103 in the Vi­si­tOd­s­her­red hiking book ”Van­drin­ger i Odsherred” (=Walks in Odsherred). The tour is 12,5km long and is a hiking tour along the two parallel coasts by Kattegat and Sejerø Bay, offering an abundance of nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces, related to the coastal landscape. Not far from the house you may also drive to the life-style boutique Ka­sta­ni­e­lys and maybe make your own candles.
