Welcome inside

There can easily be a fight for a seat on the big corner sofa setting, because from here you have a panoramic view of the open and light but also tightly vegetated nature plot, where roe deer and birds are frequent guests. But not to worry – there is room for everybody.

If you prefer to be en­tertai­ned by mul­ti­me­dia in the twilight, there are plenty of po­s­si­bi­li­ties for that. Or why not suggest a fun quiz or a board game and gather around the dining table or simply have a cosy time with a chat over the cocoa and a slice of cake?

Enjoy life outside

The terrace offers sun all day long and is spacious enough for children as well as adults. The sur­ro­un­ding nature plot is perfect for sun­bat­hing but also for playing. The tall trees on the plot create a sense of privacy, but you are still close to local amenities.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

Close to the holiday house you find the big Spar su­per­mar­ket and the popular Lyngkroen Inn, if you want to buy supplies or dine out. During summer, you may also visit Rørvig Street Food, offering food from several parts of the world. For nature lovers you have forest areas with walking, cycling and jogging routes very close by. The forest Rørvig Sand­flugts­plan­ta­ge and one of the best beaches in Denmark by Kattegat are also in the vicinity.

Only a few ki­lo­metres away you find the market town Nykøbing Sj., where you have a cosy pe­de­stri­an street, many in­de­pen­dent shops and su­per­mar­kets. Furt­her­more, the area offers a charming yachting harbour, rowing and sailing clubs plus good re­stau­rants.

Rørvig, often called the Skagen of Zealand, is well known for its yellow houses and the lively harbour, where the ferries sail to and from Hundested. Here you also find ice cream stalls and several eating places such as Rørvig Fisk, known for its fish and shellfish buffet. The village and the sur­ro­un­dings offer unique nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces such as Højsandet, the bird sanctuary by Hov Vig and the protected area Korshage, an excellent choice for walks or bicycle trips.

You may also visit the in­te­r­e­sting chur­chy­ard by the yellow Rørvig Church. The chur­chy­ard has burial plots for the polar explorer Alf Trolle, the author Klaus Rifbjerg and the Nobel-Prize winning author Henrik Po­n­top­pi­dan, who wrote a great part of the novel A Fortunate Man in the area.

From Rørvig harbour you may take the ferry to Hundested, or you can take a walk on the Fjord Path, en­circling the Isefjord and Roskilde Fjord. The 230km long Fjord Path is ideal for wanderers and cyclists on all levels. Another walk leads to Skan­se­ha­ge located by the bay with fantastic water for a swim. Nature at Skan­se­ha­ge offers open landsca­pes and great views of the fjord and Kattegat. From here you may continue along the coast to Korshage, a protected nature area in the north-eastern part of Odsherred. You can include a visit to Dybesø Lake and the open dune heath back to Rørvig via Sand­flugts­plan­ta­gen forest or Højsandet, an im­pres­si­ve inland dune.
