Welcome inside
The thatched, red summer house, which has just been renovated in 2024, is part of Poppelgården. The large property was ori­gi­nal­ly a com­man­der's farm and has since been both a B&B and a hostel, which explains the unique ground plan of this house. In Bådsmandens house, you will find three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and entrance – so if you value privacy, you get that here. If you want to have breakfast, enjoy a cup of coffee, or just have a cozy chat with the rest of your group, the living area is located at the eastern end of the house. Here, you have a sofa and dining table, in addition to a nice kitchen, and there’s also a flat-screen TV on the wall if you want to catch up on the news or watch a movie in the evening.

Enjoy life outside
On the east side of the house, you can sit side to enjoy the early sun rays of the day, and there’s also the op­portu­ni­ty to enjoy outdoor living to the south. In addition, you and your loved ones have plenty of space to relax and play on the large natural plot, which you share with three other summer houses. If you want to play ball or throw a frisbee, that’s de­fi­ni­te­ly possible, and if you have a dog with you on vacation, it will surely enjoy the calm and green sur­ro­un­dings as well. Cars must park in the de­sig­na­ted parking area, which also has an electric car charger, if needed.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
If you want to treat everyone to freshly baked rolls for breakfast, it only takes a moment to walk over to Rømø Bageriet on Hav­ne­by­vej. There’s also a grocery store, a mini-golf course, and an Icelandic horse center nearby, and the house is located very close to Rømø's east coast, which faces the Wadden Sea and the mainland. The island's beaches on the west coast are the desti­na­tion if you want to take a dip in the North Sea, and you also have easy access to Vråby tree plan­ta­tion, where you can take walks and let your dog run free in the dog park. The center of Havneby can be reached in just a few minutes by car or bicycle, for example, if you want to dine out at a re­stau­rant or take a closer look at the harbor.
