Lovely low-energy house with view to the Wadden Sea

Welcome inside
When the summer house was built in 2008, the focus was on creating a fun­ctio­nal and cozy holiday home suitable for year-round use. Re­gard­less of whether it’s cold or warm outside, you will feel com­fortab­le indoors: the house is equipped with un­der­floor heating powered by a ground-source heat pump, a wood-burning stove for cold days, and an air con­di­tio­ning system that can heat or cool as needed. The decor is bright and inviting in all rooms, and the fur­nis­hin­gs are com­fortab­le. The windows invite plenty of daylight in, and the view over the Wadden Sea, espe­ci­al­ly in the living room, is bre­ath­taking. The living room is open to a well-equipped kitchen, and the layout also includes two bathrooms – one of which is beau­ti­ful­ly appointed with both a hot tub and a sauna. Three bedrooms are con­ve­ni­ent­ly di­stri­bu­ted around the house, and there is space for two ad­di­tio­nal holiday guests in a cozy nook in the living room. As a final practical detail, it should be noted that the door width in the house is 90 cm, making it whe­el­chair ac­ces­sib­le.

Enjoy life outside
On the southern and eastern sides of the house, a lovely, partially covered wooden terrace extends. If you set up for breakfast on the east side, you can enjoy your first cup of coffee of the day along with the beautiful view of the Wadden Sea and the fields where Icelandic horses graze. What a way to start the holiday day! The rest of the day can easily be spent lounging on the terrace or on the natural plot, where you can swing, play on the lawn, and grill when it’s time for dinner.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
When you stay so close to the Wadden Sea, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, it’s safe to say that the address is ex­cep­tio­nal­ly scenic. It’s also peaceful, as you are at the end of a closed road – while being close to shopping options and holiday acti­vi­ties. An Icelandic horse center is right next door if you want to ride out to ex­pe­ri­en­ce Rømø’s nature on horseback, and there are also a mini-golf course and a popular bakery in the nearby area. Moreover, it’s only a kilometer to the center of Havneby, where you’ll find a well-stocked su­per­mar­ket, a fis­h­mon­ger, bike rentals, and a good selection of re­stau­rants. If you feel like an outing away from Rømø, you can take the ferry to the German island of Sylt from Havneby, or al­ter­na­ti­ve­ly, you can drive over the causeway to Skærbæk on the mainland, where, as a guest in the summer house, you have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret.
